In teaching a co-taught lesson on measurement for fourth and fifth grade students, I used the attached assignment to assess the students' learning. The "worksheet" was created for the students using items and places that they are familiar with unlike some prepackaged math lessons and worksheets. The students were able to think about the concepts while making a personal connection. Enjoy!

While I worked with my seventh and eighth grade students I taught them a lesson on recognizing punctuation and editing punctuation errors. This lesson may have been a review, however, students with disabilities frequently need review on topics. The lesson plan is attached!
Last semester, while teaching six and seventh grade students, I taught a lesson on using Graphic Organizers to prepare for writing. See the lesson plan I used.
A few weeks ago I taught a lesson on Surface Area. I taught this lesson in a small group, otherwise I would have used a video from BrainPop to add to the lesson. I previously taught the students the formula for area and used real-life objects around the classroom and measured them to find the area. For this lesson, I began by introducing the topic using see-through, plastic shapes allowing the students the opportunity to play with and feel them. See the attached lesson plan, enjoy!
Recently I taught a lesson to my students using a game called "Phonics Dominoes." I taught the students three new suffixes and their meanings. After explicit teaching, the students were encouraged to use the "Phonics Dominoes" to make new words. After putting the pieces together, the students were asked to give the definition of the new word. The lesson plan is attached, enjoy!
