Here at Winnetka Elementary, we are very fortunate that a former teacher, Ms. Shore, wrote a grant and got us an amazing garden from The Kitchen Community. Since Ms. Shore retired last year, I am in charge of our garden. The Kitchen Community supplies our school with seeds and seedlings each year to bring our garden to life.
We started to plant our garden today with the seeds and seedlings provided. We planted lettuce, kale, strawberries, broccoli and so much more. Please make sure to stop by our school garden and ask your student to share with you what they helped to plant.
