With only a few days left, the end of the school year is near!
I have had an amazing year with my students and am sad that the year is coming to a close. However, I am excited about the amazing growth each child has made through the past nine months. Reading, math, and social skills have flourished as the students grew. It is important to maintain these skills during the summer, especially the new-found reading skills. There are many ways to practice reading skills, the easiest being: READING! :) Other options include intensive reading programs offered though the nearby colleges and universities. Pierce College and CSU Northridge offer summer reading programs with a sliding fee scale typically available. Public libraries are also a great option to keep your child interested in reading, without breaking the bank by buying books that are not always interesting a day later! Please contact me if you have questions about your child's reading level or for suggestions of books. Happy Reading!
